This panel will highlight how the Department of Energy’s National Laboratories are driving innovation to support innovation-driven deterrence and operational readiness in contested environments. Panelists from Los Alamos, Pacific Northwest, and Oak Ridge National Laboratories will discuss advancements in technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, advanced analytics, and resilient infrastructure, as well as initiatives like the Genesis Mission, which integrate advanced technologies into mission-centric solutions.  The panelists will focus on strategies to accelerate technology development, transition solutions to operational use, and foster multidisciplinary collaboration across government, industry, and academia.  By leveraging the unique capabilities of the National Laboratories, the Department of Energy plays a vital role in strengthening deterrence and ensuring mission success in alignment with the 2026 National Defense Strategy.
