Breakout Session: Enhanced Deterrence and Resilience Track
This panel discuss scalable, agile, and affordable solutions for countering uncrewed underwater (C-UUV) and surface vessel (C-USV) threats in maritime environments. The Ukraine conflict has demonstrated the effectiveness of uncrewed systems, even without state sponsorship, underscoring the growing threat posed by non-state actors and adversaries like China. This panel will focus on the urgent need for counter-uncrewed systems (C-UxS) solutions that address rapidly evolving threats while meeting the tactical warfighter’s requirements for cost, schedule, and performance. Panelists will explore strategies for developing adaptable and scalable C-UxS capabilities, ensuring affordability for tactical warfighters, and engaging non-traditional defense contractors and startups to deliver innovative solutions. The panelists will highlight how these capabilities can enhance operational readiness and deterrence in the Indo-Pacific, providing actionable insights into addressing emerging maritime threats effectively and efficiently.
