Breakout Session: Enhanced Deterrence and Resilience Track
This panel will examine how space-based capabilities can be leveraged to deter adversary actions, ensure operational resilience, and maintain superiority in contested environments. Panelists will discuss strategies for countering adversary advancements in counter-space capabilities, such as anti-satellite weapons and electronic warfare, while exploring the role of space-based systems—such as missile warning, space domain awareness, and secure communications — in deterring threats in the Indo-Pacific. The panelists will highlight technologies and strategies to ensure the resilience of space systems against cyberattacks, jamming, and physical threats, as well as the importance of multinational collaboration to enhance space domain awareness, share intelligence, and develop joint strategies for space-based deterrence. Panelists will also explore emerging advancements in space technologies, including AI for satellite operations, autonomous systems, and quantum communications, and their integration into Indo-Pacific operations. Attendees will gain actionable insights into how space-based capabilities can strengthen deterrence, enhance resilience, and foster collaboration to secure the space domain and maintain operational superiority in contested environments.
