Kevin Ruddell

Science and Technology Representative, U.S. Special Operations Pacific (SOCPAC)

Kevin is the son of an Air Force Crew Chief and grew up on and off of air bases around the world.  He joined the Army in 1985, serving as a Platoon Leader at the National Training Center, Abrams and Bradley Crew Evaluator Team Chief in Vilseck, Germany; Company Commander, 9th Regiment, 7th Infanty Division Light; Executive Officer, 1-14 Infantry, 25 ID; Military Transition Team, Team Chief in Baghdad, and was supporting Network Integration Evaluations with the Brigade Modernization Command at Fort Bliss, Texas, when he retired after 26 years of service.  After leaving the Army, the VA retrained him in Cyber and he worked at the Hawaiian Airlines Help Desk, the MARFORPAC Help Desk, on Cyber Projects in the INDOPACOM J81, and on a cyber defense of industrial control systems project before joining SOCPAC.  His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Eastern Area Studies from the United States Military Academy, a Master’s in Computer Resources from Webster University, and Airborne, Ranger, and CompTIA certifications.
