RADM Scott Jerabek, USN (Ret)
Scott Jerabek is the Director of Global Threat Response in Global Security at Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T), which manages and operates the Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus. With more than 6,700 employees in Kansas City and Albuquerque, the Kansas City National Security Campus provides diverse engineering, manufacturing, and secure sourcing services supporting national security.
In this position, Jerabek is responsible for Global Security’s operational capabilities, program management, and R&D efforts in the Global Threat Response division to transform custom technology and product realization into field-ready solutions. The Global Security business delivers secure engineering, manufacturing and operational solutions for proliferation deterrence, global threat reduction, and supply chain surety. This also includes quick response to classified national security challenges and direct support to the warfighter and intelligence community.
Prior to this role, Jerabek was the Vice President of Engineering at Astronics AeroSat focusing on advanced satellite communications and technologically advanced communications solutions for multiple government agencies and Defenses Departments around the globe.
Scott served in the U.S. Navy for more than 38 years, most recently as Deputy Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Commander, U.S. Strategic Command Standing Joint Force Headquarters for the Elimination of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and the Deputy Director of the Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction. In this role, he was responsible for leading a global team supporting all mission areas enabling the Department of Defense, the United States Government, and international partners to counter and deter weapons of mass destruction and improvised threat networks. His first flag tour was Commander, Navy Warfare Development Command where he was responsible for World-wide Fleet training and simulations and advancing innovation for the Fleet.
In his second Flag position, Jerabek served as the Director of Theater Engagement at United States Southern Command, overseeing country support in Foreign Military Sales and Humanitarian response activities in South and Central America. Prior to being promoted to Flag, Scott served as Chief of Staff, U.S. Forces, Japan, during Operation Tomodachi in response to the damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power plant in Japan. He has two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Jerabek earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, an MBA from Baker University School of Professional and Graduate Studies, and a master’s of national security while a fellow at the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies. Scott is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow with the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security.
Scott holds positions as the Senior Advisor of the Strategic Advisory Board for Merlion Advisory Group, member of the Nebraska Defense Research Corporation board, and a member of the National Museum of the Surface Navy at the Battleship IOWA board. Scott is also a Professional Leadership Coach for the Executive MBA program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
